Part 2: Ready to Surrender

Although we think we can self-sufficiently handle anything negative that life throws at us—addictions, infidelities, health issues, life issues in general—self-reliance just doesn't work. If anything, it moves us further away from the one source of strength and grace that can set us free. Humbling yourself to the point of surrender—leaning into the reality of the need for God—does not come easily; but the God who is bigger, better, smarter, and wiser than we can ever be is always there to pick us up however many times we need and to help us along the walk on the road to freedom.
