New Life, New Lifestyle (Part 2)

Full: The Message of Colossians
New Life, New Lifestyle (Part 2)

As a continuation from last week’s message, the Apostle Paul writes to the church at Colossae of the importance of real life application of what he’s already explained in the first half of our series. There are practical aspects to living a new life in Jesus Christ that impact how we relate to God and to one another. This morning, Brian Rykaczewski unpacks our passage and shares how we should do everything in Jesus’ name.

No Additions Needed – Week 4

“So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live in him, rooted and built up in him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness.” (Colossians 2:6-7) These verses represent the core message of the letter to the Colossians. Listen this morning as Brian Rykaczewski, Director of Children’s Ministries, shares that Jesus + Nothing Else = Everything That You Need.

Struggles for Maturity

A Study of Colossians:
Struggles for Maturity – Week 3

As we enter Week 3 of our Study of Colossians, we see a glimpse into Paul’s calling and commission. More importantly, we see how much he labors, struggling to see the people of God mature into Christians “who know the mystery of God, namely, Christ, in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.”

Jesus is Supreme

A Study of Colossians:
Jesus is Supreme –Week 2

We continue our study of Colossians with a glorious description of Jesus Christ in all His sufficiency. He is the very image of the Invisible God. He has supremacy over all creation. He is greater than anything on earth; whether rulers or authorities, philosophies or religious systems. He is more than enough. And it is only through Jesus that we can experience peace with God and receive assurance of eternal life. Dave Adams presents this morning’s message.

Thanks and Prayer

Colossians 1:1-14: Thanks & Prayer–Week 1

We begin our study of Colossians with an overview of the major themes and verses of Paul’s letter to this relatively young local church. He begins the letter by stating up-front how thankful he is for them and for their testimony of the gospel of Jesus Christ. His concern for their spiritual well-being and growth is encapsulated in his prayer for them and provides a model for us in praying for each other.

Affirmation

Affirmation

Taking place following the 10:30 AM morning service, the members and friends of HOPE COMMUNITY CHURCH gathered to affirm the calling of Andrew and Christine Bonaventura to the church as their newest Pastor. A great show of unity and affirmation was demonstrated as Dave Adams asked for the congregation to stand while he prayed for Andrew and Christine, as well as the people of HOPE COMMUNITY CHURCH.

intersecting

Intersecting
Being called to Hope Community Church has been a remarkable spiritual journey in the lives of Andrew & Christine Bonaventura. As Andrew shares this morning, catch a great glimpse of the way God led them here to Hope. Most importantly, see how their faith steps toward this new call intersect your personal call as part of the local church God continues to build here in Moorestown and beyond.

How to be Rich, Part 1

How to be Rich

Think you'll never be rich? Think again. You can find plenty of advice on how to get rich. But where do you learn to be rich? And how do you define "rich" in the first place?

In this series, David Scott (HOPE's lead elder; business owner, and financial planner) will move beyond the "get rich" mentality and explain God's instructions for the vast majority of us who are already blessed with more than we need.

No Perfect People Allowed

Creating a Come-As-You-Are Culture

From the outset, HOPE COMMUNITY CHURCH has been intent about reaching and leading people in a growing relationship with Jesus Christ. One of the goals has been to create a church that the un-churched, and the disenfranchised would enjoy attending. But in order to do this, we need to accept people where they are . . . and then encourage them to grow from there. We want to see people as a work in process. God is seeking to do His work in all of our lives.
We recognize that the church is in partnership with God to prepare the soil of people’s lives; but it is God who causes the growth. This morning, Dave Adams shows how HOPE is embracing this truth.
